How to cope with change.

Change is inevitable. Seasons, friendships, relationships, current events, trends, all are subject to change. Discomfort and anxiety can arise when change approaches— or surprisingly hits you. Here are some tools to engage in when change creates discomfort:

  • Identify what is in your control.

Can you maintain a routine? Switch up your schedule? Go outside and feel the warmth of the sun touch your skin? Remember: change is happening, but you’re still in the drivers seat.

  • Find a support system.

Join a group that is aligns with your needs. Reach out to supportive friendships or family members.

  • Listen to your body.

Our bodies are intricate and intellectual. When something is off, our bodies give us a warning signal! Check in with your body every day and pay attention to what it’s letting you know. Do you feel tense? Are you having digestive issues? Your body will talk if you quiet the mind to listen.
